FAECAP ACTIVITIES:

FAECAP is a collaborative Federation that works with different levels of the Health Administration (Plan integral del Cáncer, Plan integral de Cardiopatías, National Committee for preventing tobacco consumption) is working in developing the curricula for the future speciality on family and community nursing.

It organizes several scientific congresses, curses, and workshops through its associations in different parts of Spain with the purpose of advancing in the professional development of community nursing.

The federation has a WEB (www.faecap.com) where scientific documents and programmes for scientific activities are placed.

The Journal of community and family nursing is a reality and the first number will be published at the beginning of the 2004.

Most of our resources come from the member’s fees. However, our more important value comes from our members, who are among the highest in motivation and competency.

We are strongly interested in working in a European approach of health care delivery by working with partners from different European countries, and especially in the role of community and family nurses in primary care. We are strongly convinced that FAECAP can be an important partner and that we will put all our expertise in this project and we will give all the collaboration needed in the different fields of the project.

FAECAP PARTICIPATION IN THE PROJECT

FAECAP will be interested in organizing several professional workshops especially devoted to the development of a services portfolio for community and family nursing in the European perspective.

We agree to provide the necessary means for the project in order to ensure its well doing (staff, equipment, organisation, logistics) within the framework of a specific funding for our organisation.
